The files for a post, a deck, a talk, or a page that mentions Komatachi. Logo, symbol, app icon, colour, and type. The name in the vector files is drawn as outlines, so it looks the same without the font installed.

Logo

The two squares and the name. Use this when there is room. It stays readable down to about 140 px wide. Pick the file that matches the surface.

Symbol

The two squares on their own. Use this when the name is already on screen, or when the space is too small for the full logo. It holds up down to 16 px. One square is not the mark.

App icon and clear space

The icon is the two squares on the cream plate, with the corners rounded. Use it for avatars, favicons, and tiles. Everywhere else, leave room around the logo.

Keep free space of at least the gap between the two squares on every side. Smallest sizes: 140 px wide for the logo, 16 px for the symbol.

Colour

These are the colours on the site. Click a swatch to copy its hex.

Typeface

Space Grotesk is free under the SIL Open Font License. It is the face the site uses for the name and the headings. Body text is the system Helvetica.

Weight 400, uppercase. The logo uses letter-spacing 0.28em, which is already drawn into the files. fonts.google.com

Using the marks

Use the files as they are. You do not need to ask before you mention Komatachi in the press, in a talk, in a post, or on a page about your own work.

✓ Please do

  • Use the supplied files above the smallest sizes.
  • Pick the variant that suits the surface.
  • Say Komatachi. One word, capital K.
  • Keep both squares. The name is a plural.
  • Link the logo to komatachi.com when it is a link.

✗ Please don't

  • Recolour, rotate, stretch, outline, or add effects.
  • Rebuild the lockup by setting the name yourself.
  • Use one square on its own.
  • Put the cream-page logo on a photo. Use the white one.
  • Imply that Komatachi endorses, sponsors, or built your product.
