One rule: ask and you get it back. No window, no reason required, no conditions.
How to get your €199 back
Reply to your payment confirmation, or email hello@komatachi.com from the address you reserved with. Say you want the refund. That is the entire process.
You do not need to give a reason. We will not ask for one, and we will not try to talk you out of it.
How long it takes
| Step | Time |
|---|---|
| We acknowledge your email | within 2 working days |
| We issue the refund through Stripe | within 5 working days of your request |
| Money reaches your card or bank | typically 5–10 further days, set by your bank, not us |
The refund goes back to the original payment method. That is a Stripe constraint and not a choice we can make for you.
What you get back
The full €199. Not a fee-deducted portion, not credit, not a voucher. If your bank applied a currency conversion when you paid, the amount that lands may differ slightly from €199 because of the rate on the day — that difference is your bank's and we cannot control it.
Refunds we issue without being asked
- If we cancel the K0 programme.
- If we cannot offer you a robot from the first batch.
- If you tell us a change to a Target specification means you no longer want it.
Shop orders
The same rule applies to physical goods bought in the shop (an SO-101 follower, kit or assembled): ask and you get it back. For goods, the 14-day withdrawal period runs from the day the parcel reaches you. If you withdraw, we refund the full price including the original shipping; the cost of sending the item back is yours, and we deduct nothing if the item comes back as dispatched. The 2-year legal guarantee for goods applies on top and is not reduced by anything here.
Your statutory rights
If you are an EU consumer, the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) gives you a 14-day right of withdrawal on distance purchases. This policy is deliberately wider than that right. Nothing here reduces it.
